

The Promenade is the focal point of the town and stretches for a mile and a half from the harbour and
Marina in the south to Constitution Hill in the north.
It offers space to sit, soak up the sun and view the surrounding hills and mountains. During the summer season, the Bandstand becomes a venue for several
events with appearances from local bands, performers and choirs.
Pier. Aberystwyth was the first town in Wales to have a purpose built pleasure pier. It was commissioned by the
Aberystwyth Pier Promenade
Company and constructed in 1864. At 300 ft long, the pier houses a pub, ice-cream parlour, amusement arcade, snooker club and brasserie
Marina. The Y Lanfa Marina was opened in 1995 and provides in excess of 160 permanent berths and number of visitor moorings.
Constitution Hill. at 430 feet high provides a magnificent viewpoint from which you have an unrivalled view of the town and
surrounding area.
You can either walk up or take the historic Cliff Railway all the way to the top. It was opened to the public in 1896 and is
Britain's longest
electric cliff railway, with a total length of 778 feet.
The Camera Obscura sits at the very top of Constitution Hill. Inside, you can take turns to manoeuvre the fourteen inch
lens which reflects
an all-round view of the town and over one thousand square miles of the surrounding countryside on to the viewing gallery screen.
Vale of Rheidol Narrow Gauge Railway Originally serving the lead mines in the Rheidol Valley, this is one of the most popular
railway routes in Wales, taking you through 12 miles of the River Rheidol Valley with idyllic views right up to Devil's Bridge.
